In the spring of 2026 a late freeze took the entire Blood Orchard peach crop — the fruit five generations of this family have grown, nurtured, and loved since the 1920s. Rather than cancel the summer season, Jeff and Jessica did what the Blood family has always done: they adapted. The bare branches you will see in the orchard on this tour, inspired this event. Out of loss came something new — a heritage brew tour that tells the full 155-year story of Blood Orchard in a way a peach festival never could. The peaches will be back next year (fingers crossed). But there might never be another first Bare Branch Heritage Brew Tour. Step back in time and experience 155 years of Kansas farm history at Blood Orchard — one of the most unique agritourism experiences in the Wichita region.
Board an authentic 1950's Sears & Roebuck hay trailer pulled by a 1958 Ford tractor — both original to the Blood family — and join 5th generation owners Jeff and Jessica Blood for a guided tour through the orchard rows of a farm that has called Haysville home since 1871. Jeff takes the wheel of the same tractor his father Gerald bought brand new, while Jessica brings the remarkable story of five generations of the Blood family to life at each stop.
Your tour includes five stops through the orchard, each honoring a different generation of the Blood family with a featured Blood Orchard Brewing Co. pour and an era-inspired food pairing. From a crisp Pilsner at Gilman Blood's 1871 founding stop to a refreshing Hard Seltzer at Jeff and Jessica's revival stop, every taste tells a story.

Tours depart every hour beginning at 10:00 AM with the final tour departing at 2:00 PM. Each tour is limited to just 40 guests, ensuring an intimate and personal experience with Jeff and Jessica. Five tour times are available — 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM.
The Bare Branch Heritage Brew Tour runs alongside the free Blood Orchard Vintage Market — 20-30 vendors and 4-5 food trucks on the farm — making this a full day of family, community, and farm history (no ticket required to attend the market).
